International NetworksWishing to see my clients in good hands when they have a case abroad I made many contacts in the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), for age reasons later in the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and in 2001 joined Libralex EEIG which is focussed on International Business Law. Read more at libralex.com. From each of its offices I know at least one lawyer personally. We meet three times a year in a city where one of the partner offices is located. As the EEIG has become too unflexible for our purposes we are now switching to a Dutch association (vereniging). All this resulted in my long-standing practice in cross-border cases, be it from Germany abroad, be it coming into Germany. For this reason I decided to take the first-ever opportunity to attend the law course necessary to be recognized as bar certified specialist of International Business Law. Read more here. |
